First severe thunderstorm watch since May 2017. Apparently, California has even fewer thunderstorms.

So Midway Airport did hit 90 degree yesterday. Only about a month behind schedule. ORD hasn't yet but the forecast calls for four 90 degree days , possibly as many as five. And with all that rain, and wet ground the dew points are way up there too

There's the summer pattern. Jet goes to Canada.

Next week we continue to the heat. Welcome to Summer

This afternoon time to hide.

Yesterday was the hottest day of the year in Indianapolis so far, officially topping out at 88F, though some places got higher. The hottest was 92F in Muncie northeast of Indy. When will we hit that first 90F? Could be very soon! A very summer-like forecast has arrived.

Yeah it sucks pretty hard. Thankfully this far North and East we're lucky enough that in another 9 or 10 weeks the temps will stop being consistently above 80, and then in another 3 or 4 they'll stop being above 70 as well.

Only 157 days til the start of meteorological winter.
