Its down to 8 to 12" now . I'm driving this weekend, but I'm very versed in driving in bad conditions. My cabin is a very remote area of northern PA in the snowbelt and I'm used to driving on roads with 10"+ on the road in my truck; other people scare me though lol thinking 4WD makes you invincible.

Sweet!! Theres so much moisture with this one. GFS has 1.75" for PIT, Euro 1.35". Even if half fell as snow that would be nice. You're in a good spot. Not the best though

I'm right on the line between 3 and 4. They're calling for 10-14 inches here. Hardly a major winter storm, but the most snow we've seen all season.

Sorry if I get too technical but its what makes and breaks a forecast.

Look at the Western ridge past 5 runs. In English terms, its in a different position with each update which alters the outcome downstream in the East. Fun. Fun.

Looks to me like the axis of the ridge is shifting more and more east with each run? Which explains why the Edmonton forecast is getting warmer and warmer with each update.

Coldest low in the Edmonton five-day forecast is now upgraded to -20°C. Average low is -18°C so basically normal. Maximum temperatures do run 5-10°C below average for the period though so overall modestly below normal but nothing extreme.

Yup.

Accuweather Snowfall Total Forecast. A thin strip of 12"+. I think they'll have to expand the 6"+ areas.

Weather Channel hasn't put out a forecast yet but they have a snow intensity map

The setup. That Jet stream is just not angled right for here for an all snow event.
