Radar loop with storm reports last 4hrs. 8am-12pm.

Heavy snow in Richmond now.

There are so many 10++ reports in Virginia and North Carolina.

11" in Raleigh. Impressive! (They are sleet now)

Raleigh, NC 4 hours ago. Maybe before the changeover to sleet or maybe they got more snow after this.

What 7 inches looks like in Raleigh

I hate these graphics with like 5 reports. I mean can't you make the effort and make one with at least 10 of them at least? Anyway - Nice!

11 inches??? I only see what looked like 5 or 6 where I’m at. The first flakes fell out of the sky at 1:30 am. I was walking outside then too. Took me by surprise as I didn’t expect it till later. Raining now and been doing so for a while. Rain eating away at snow.

Most coming from Raleigh are showing 5-7".

I saw this and realized its Northeast of RDU, not the airport itself.

Welcome to the world of snow where you can have several inches less than someone near you.

Some reports from this morning few hours ago.

Wow! Can't wait to dig into the numbers. Still more snow on radar so I'll probably wait till tonight or tomorrow. Hows the snow texture? Cement like there?

Great video. Southeast of Asheville, West of Charlotte.

Loop last 4hrs. 10:15am-2:15pmEST. Those Pinks within the snow are intense snow rates. Dropping 1-2" hr rates at least but in some areas they move in and out quick.

All done in Charlotte now. Time to clean up.

Judging by radar movement Greensboro should be done in an hour or so. They just had a heavy burst come through.

Virginia got more coming but the dry line is approaching state line now.

RDU changed to light rain now. Yuck. Gonna weigh a ton to shovel. I feel their pain!

Lexington, Kentucky and Washington D.C are totally getting screwed. So close!

With storm reports past hour. That area I circled got hammed with 1-2 feet of snow

But even areas around Greensboro and Durham got 8-14". Crazy

Looks like the center of the storm is north more this afternoon than where WPC had it even with last nights update. Right now its just off the coast of SC.

Look where WPC had it. More off the coast

That's all it takes for a Mid Atlantic Snowstorm. A southern track and cold arctic air around north of it.
