And we begin...

Winter Storm Watches are up in New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma.. Missing Kansas City to the south. Another crazy perspective.

Current View of the Upper Levels.

Ashame the Upper Level pattern is this flat. Interesting for points south but sucks for snow lovers of Mid Atlantic and Northeast.

Posted 6 days ago. Euro had the Upper level right for today that far out.

Yup... Down and Out.

Whoops. On that note.. look at the trend of the NAM less and less precip for OK. Good news I guess.

One guy said forecast just changed from 6-12" of snow to 1" for him. Lol

I'm just waiting now for Saturday's beginning of the storm. Weather guy calling for 12-24 inches....my western NC area has a lot of snow plows, my road is scraped usually on day 2.

most I've been in is 16 inches..my Nissan Murano did great until I needed to go uphill...

Yes. Brad Panovich said he was texting with Cantore earlier today and he is headed to Asheville. There was a meme making the rounds saying Cantore had landed at CLT.

I'm not sure what we will get. We always get a little more than what is forecasted for Charlotte as we are a little north. If it's going to snow, I hope we get enough to make it worth all the trouble it causes.

Just finished reading the local met discussion and they are quite subdued in their tone. Looking like a wet/cold/ice-ish event. Oh well, plenty of winter to go.
