Are you in Tampa? I checked the forecast there, it is showing the avg temp dropping below 90 next Thursday. I highly doubt you'd see 90's thru November. Not much question you could have 80's thru fall though. It is Florida afterall.
I am northwest of Tampa on the gulf and we broke record after record in Nov with 90's. 80's has always been normal since the 70's in Nov. Seen 80's in Dec and seen mid 80's in Jan many times over the years. Just the last 10 falls have been super warm.
Yes the planet has warmed and there is pronounced warming out west, probably related to overall drought conditions, but in my region, the summers have stayed the same in Mean temp but with fewer hot days.
My summers have not changed temp wise since the 70's. This has been the coolest summer i can remember with no temps past 95f so far. What has changed since the mid 80's is our summer time pattern from a southeast windflow to a never ending reverse west windflow with the axis of the summer time ridge south of the Tampa area giving us a west wind 24/7 with only a very few days a summer with a east flow. This is why i keep getting below normal rainfall most every month every summer. June was below normal and July on rain and so far this month has been super dry. Aug was just a bit above normal on rain.
Potentially 3 more 90 degree days in Chicagoland.. Up to 94 degrees by Thursday with 100 degree heat indices. In late September..
Crazy and impressive gradient

From east to west: mouth of the St. Lawrence, central Quebec, lower part of northern Ontario, Lake superior, Minnesota, South Dakota/Nebraska border. Anywhere south of there is 80 F+. Many locations north of there from Minnesota eastward are in the 30s/40s/50s. The temp contrast is strongest in central Quebec. Probably about a 40 degree temp contrast over about just 50 miles in central Quebec.
Crazy and Impressive Gradient between north of the Jet and South. It's like its dying to just drop south but the heat and ridge is too much for it still. Over time it should reverse as the Northern Jet gets stronger. (I hope!). But I keep waiting to see when the dips happen so I can get my Fall like break!
Euro says it doesn't next 10 days! Check out the last frame for Sept 27th.
Check out Latest GFS.. #FantasyLand October 1st. PV talk? Too Soon? Frost?
Today marks the 11th day in a row of 100F temps here. Gross.
