Really felt like autumn today. Cloudy and a high of 69F at ORD, 68F at MDW and just 66F at IKK...

Should be in the mid to upper 80s by later this week. Summer making a comeback. Btw, ORD has 90 days at or above 80F this year. Their record is 105. Might come close to it. MDW currently has 94 days at or above 80F

Radar loop past 4 hours as the sun sets. 2:40-6:40pm Sept 8, 2018.

Stalled front and Gordon remnants producing a Saturday of dreary rain and clouds.

Yes, I'm not personally expecting any snow. These things have a habit of being over-called; perhaps there will be some on the higher terrain to the west. Mostly it's just notable for making its first appearance of the season in the forecast.

In a similar vein, Edmonton has had a near-record number of warm days this year too. There's no way we'll break the record though.

biggest rain dump should be on Monday. Forgot hurricane remnants could affect us. But it's September. Temperatures dropping on Mt. Washington:

should go below freezing up above treeline tonight; one cold night in August it dropped to 35°F. Interesting how low the dews can drop up above when a slot dry air descends from above? Don't get the mechanism exactly. Forecast discussions have up to 7" of rain in the Midwest, southern Illinois and nearby the most
