Didn't you guys get it last year? Maybe not enough for you. Jet stream has to dip out there, maybe it will for 2nd half of winter while we warm up here.
We got snow for this Christmas and I loved it, but it was all gone the next day. Snow here is so fickle. A city 15 miles north of me could get 6" of snow and here there might not be anything. I remember when I lived on a hill in Belfair and we got 15" of snow in two back-to-back snowstorms. I was probably 25 miles from Seattle as the crow flies and they didn't get a flake. I was snowed in and had to take pictures to prove to my manager that I really couldn't get to work in Seattle because of the snow.
Honestly, I'd be happy with any whacky weather. Wind, hailstorms, snow, thunder and lightning, tornadoes, earthquakes...OK, well, anything to break up the monotony of nothing but drizzle all day every day.
Outlined in blue is for snow rates that will approaching 3" an hour
2:50-6:50am loop

Areas affected...From eastern New Jersey and Delaware into southern
New England
Concerning...Heavy snow
Valid 041106Z - 041700Z
SUMMARY...Snow rates will increase in intensity through midday, with
max rates to 3"/hr into southern New England after about 10am local
time.
DISCUSSION...Precipitation continues to increase offshore as the
surface low rapidly deepens. The heaviest snow bands were affecting
eastern New Jersey as of 10Z but heavy snow was rapidly developing
across Long Island. The zone of strongest frontogenetical forcing
will lift northward and strengthen through late morning, likely
resulting in an intense, pivoting band of heavy snow capable of
2-3"/hr rates from central Long Island to Boston. The rain/snow line
will remain nearly stationary near or just west of Cape Cod.
Wicked outside. Snow blowing from the ground and falling sideways at times.
Nothing will be melting either. Feels like 14°F currently in NYC with the wind.
