Pics I took of snow accumulation this morning. This is the best snowfall I've had since 2014.

Finally.

December 9, 2017

Such a steady lightly falling snow for 4 hours now. Only 1.4" so far. Roads totally fine. Just slushy in spots. Shoveling deck in short sleeves. Temp 31°F at 12:45pm

Expecting to pick up later and end up with 5".

Looks like everyone is getting snow. Some of the white stuff even fell this morning in Cannes, even though it very transient.

This is quite fun. It's a small hut where for the next few weeks, a few santa's little helpers will reside, and as you put your present on the left side, it will come out on the right side all wrapped up and ready, complete with a funny little rhyme.

These were taken by my SO yesterday in Tavelsjö. The temp dropped from like 0'C to -10'C in a couple of hours whereas the city stayed mostly the same. The fog was rolling in.

The poles are what, like 50 meters apart? Pretty dense fog.

I got home a little later and couldn't take as neat pictures of it.

Lots of inversion stuff going on the last two days. Today we went to a yule feast close to Lycksele and on the way there the temp of the bus would change from -8 to -4 and back in a matter of 5 minutes, and from 0 to -4 and back just as quickly on the way back. We also had freezing rain towards the end, windshields covered with ice and all.
This is the kind of thing we're talking about. If it's a frost hollow or simply a case of inversion due tondifferent altitudes I don't know.

And also, a game of can you spot the frost hollow?

On our journey we stopped by in Vindeln to drop off the dog at SO's grandma's. The fact that I dislike snow does not negate the fact that it was pretty.
Awesome stuff. Love seeing cold air beginning to pool at dusk, though at your latitude it probably never leaves the valley bottoms in early winter.

Less wintry here yesterday, the only wintry thing was the dew point, in the -10/-15°C range (around 10°F).

Nice houses there
Spoiler

Italian-style binds on the Riviera

-5°C dews inside. Chilly temps too.

Neat views. Towards Nice, Cannes & St Tropez

Towards Monaco and Italy

Not much greenery on this thread yet. Here it is.

Is it summer? No, I'm shivering, not sweating.

Neat trees
Spoiler

On can easily tell the medieval town from more recent development

Awesome! I didn't know Nice was so green. Speaks well for Gibraltar seeing the precipitation is the same
