This past summer, my hometown had a 20 degree temperature change in under 10 minutes. It was around 90°F and a thunderstorm rolled in and dropped the temperature very quickly. It was very cool to witness. It hailed and rained about 2-3 inches in just that one storm I believe.

Temps are tanking with this front today...

Newark NJ: 66° 1pm to 51° 3pm. 15 degree drop in 2 hrs

Philly: 62° 12pm to 41° 3pm. 16 degree drop in 3 hrs.

Albany: 51° 1pm to 43° 3pm. 8 degrees in 2 hrs.

NYC: 60° 2pm to 48° 2:30pm. 12 degrees in 30 minutes

I love when temps drop during the day, makes it feel like Fall/Winter changed from Spring/Summer the same day.

Todays temps are dropping during the day. Overnight they were as level as a piece of plywood.

Dewpoint crashed after sunrise

I prefer coolest temperates at 4:00 (night) and warmest temperatures at 14:00 (day).
Ideal pattern (12°C low, 18°C high):
4:00 - 13,5°C
6:00 - 14,5°C
8:00 - 16°C
10:00 - 17°C
12:00 - 17,5°C
14:00 - 18°C
16:00 - 17°C
18:00 - 15,5°C
20:00 - 14°C
22:00 - 13,5°C
0:00 - 13°C
2:00 - 12,5°C
Day drop is better.

Morning low when cold, day drop when hot. Both are most conducive to my maximum comfort during the day period when I will be outside.

On left is the projected temps Tuesday 4amEST as the strong cold front is coming Eastbound. Note the temps in Indiana, Kentucky, TN, Arkansas in the 40s and 50s...

Right image are the projected temps at 4pm Tuesday. Looks like all those areas are going to have a max temp come early in the morning and the daytime will see dropping temps into the 30s & 40s

Here's the animation from now till Wednesday.

Many areas go from 50s to 20s within 24hrs

I remember this day so well. Started out in the 50s early in the morning then sudden drop into the 30s. Went from heavy rain to heavy snow. Awesome!
