The hottest temperature for me was about 37C(98F) in Orlando, Florida about 2 weeks ago. Other than that it did reach 35C here in Liverpool, England about 2 years ago that was a one off and it will never get higher than 26C again probaby.

While i was in Florida one of the temperature boards did read 109F(43F) but i dont know if that can be trusted, it sure felt that hot though.

Those temp signs are way off. The 98° is for real. We see a lot of them here in FL during August.

Orlando has never gotten higher then 102 set back in 1998.

The hottest temp I ever experienced was 104 in Rhode island in 1975.

I was around when Salt Lake City set its record temperature of 107 degrees.

I wouldn't be surprised if I've experienced hotter in my 2 major summer trips into southern Utah though.

103° is the most recent I remember... summer of 2007 our high hit 103° at my house. Airport, which is normally a little cooler hit 99° that day. I remember in summer of 1988 the airport hit 102° or so degrees, so I imagine it was about 106° here.

100 degrees, Seattle's hottest temperature in recorded history on July 20, 1994. That would have made me only 7 years old at the time, so I don't remember it well.

I specifically remember back in Az, the thermometers reading 113+ many, many, many times in various locations of Casa Grande, Maricopa and even out in the Valley. We had a thermomter built in the company truck (it also had one of those built-in compass features). Of course, we worked outdoors, not in an a/c building, a lot, so we knew first hand what it was like. Of course when it started cooling down into the 90's we were grateful for that.

I was in Indio, CA in March of 2004 (I go every March mind you), and it was 106°F. I couldn't believe how hot it was, especially in March, but it was very tolerable (dryness beyond belief, especially for someone use to Vancouvers climate). Besides that we had one day this summer in mid August when it was 95°F with 70% humidity (felt like 105°F) and last summer one day in July it was 101°F and humidity was only around 30%. I enjoyed both of those extemes actually. I know these are not overly hot considering what most people are used to, but living in the Vancouver area, anything above 80°F is considered "hot."
