Didn't realize how cold it was down south. Aren't there blooms out? Some areas near or below freezing. 20s in the Atlanta and Birmingham suburbs

It got cooler than I was expecting. A bit of frost on roofs and vehicles. 36F as of 7 AM at the airport.

Seems like models are now showing a lot of uncertainty for the 11-15 day period. Euro bringing in cold for the Northeast. Over here, we will be near average it looks like, but lots can change

There seems to be a lot of uncertainty about the entire range, period - the big arctic air outbreak for the east that was predicted has disappeared , and now the mid-month warmup seems to be fading away too, showing a mostly barely-above average March for most of the East . It also seems like the models are again trying to shift the warmth center further to the west in the long range like they were showing a week ago; a week ago it was the West Coast, then it was the East, now it's in the Southwest .

Even though I have stated that I don't think it is, you are not alone in your thinking that this year could be another 2012

yep, that's what I meant; we had a slightly colder day in early January. Of course it's more impressive in early March than then.

This morning was the first that dipped below freezing since mid February. I have to check the data, but I believe we've had more nights above freezing than below this winter.
