This is insane..... someone kill me please. The warmest April on record is ONLY 3.9 degrees above average on mean. Safe to say this month about to blow it out of the water with 0 notable warm days either.

Pathetic. Dear god, someone explain how it is possible for the warmest month on record to be +3.9 while coldest -8. Our records stretch 130 years too.

Here it's not as pathetic, but the warmest April on record in LaGuarida is only +5.4, which is still ****ing pathetic. I think even summer months can be more above average than that. Let's be honest, April is a high risk/low reward month, where the chance for consistent cold easily trumps the chance for consistent warmth

Is it me or has this April been a lot cloudier than normal? I've liked it though, April is way too sunny usually.

84 with a dew point of 63, heat index 85. Tomorrow is first shot at 90, if not tomorrow some possible better shots later on in the month.

I don't know, maybe up north but here I would think that applies to March which has a whopping -13 degree anomaly on coldest month and I think +11 on warmest. April has always as long as I remember been consistent, not like up north. I'm not sure why it has a small positive anomaly. I can't remember any April where we had consistent cold. Though there have been some but most year no, just seasonable.

Up to 77F/25C here right now. ORD seems to have peaked at 73F/23C and MDW 75F/24C... Cooler temps are to come through the area within the next few hours...

I don't understand the mindset of always expecting above average temperatures and then being disappointed when that fails to materialize. To me it's a kind of cognitive bias--not unlike illusory superiority wherein 90% of drivers think they're better than average.

I have April's Avg for RDU is 60.2 and the warmest April is 63.6 in 2011. So the warmest is actually +3.4 degrees above. Does seem low! Interesting.

I didn't realize your 9 day stretch of well above normal max temps this month. Wow. It's been hot there, be happy! gees.

Woah, your March negative anomalies are insane. March 2014 was almost -7 here and it was the third coldest. Warmest March ever here was a whopping +12.4! The warmest May here was +6.3 which yes, is warmer than the warmest April here. The warmest October in comparison was an impressive +8.3. Blame the retarded North American geography for the lame subarctic-like Aprils here

Agreed. Complaining during a warm April that the warm anomaly isn't "enough" is the very definition of unnecessary bitching. This forum has turned into a forum of complainers.

I swear some of you aren't satisfied unless you have an entire month of +30 anomalies.
