Since March 9th we've only had one day above 50F. In February we had 7 days above 50F and 3 above 60F. The difference between February and March is not as dramatic as before, but March is still nearly 3F colder than February

Rochester will have had 9 days above 50 in March. February had 11.

In march, just 3 days got to 60. February had 5.

March is now 1.5 degrees below average and colder than February but warmer than December and January.

Today is a horrible day. Currently 43 and pouring rain. High of 45, low of 36 so far. I went for a run and now everything is soaked and drying on the heating grate. I hate cold, rainy days like this. Over an inch has fallen so far and the monthly total is up to 4.5", double the average.

The creek near my house was completely dry in August and September. Today, it's nearly 10 feet wide and has overflowed the banks, leaving more of a small swamp in one place. The current is also very fast now.

Oh, I forgot to mention my basement is flooding.

I so hate these heavy rain all day long days.

Central New York and the Poconos are struggling above freezing today

It's been raining all day non-stop even though absolutely nothing is blooming yet and it's cold af outside!!! WTF is even the point of having rain if nothing is even blooming yet?!?

The cold front seems to reach all the way down to Virginia, it's not everyday that you see this by this point of the year. Usually you'd expect the fronts to stop in Pennsylvania

Hit 79 here today, was raining in morning but Temps jumped at noon. Otherwise would have been below average, that map needs to be updated. Since when is 69 degrees flaming red

After reading about this, I checked the data, and March can easily be colder than February for New York. In fact, 2013, 2014 and 2015 show March with a lower Tmax than February 2017.

Fascinating.

On a positive note, Seattle is one day away from registering their 4th below average month in a row! They're at -.4F right now and today has been seasonable so I think it's pretty safe. Without that Blob there, Seattle is just as prone to cold waves as the rest of the country. If you feel bad for Seattle, remember how we were below average for 5 out of 6 months from November 2013 to April 2014, and then again from November 2014 to April 2015

Certain trees, such as cherries and crabapple and a few species of magnolia are just starting to bloom here in Indianapolis; the ornamental pear trees are near peak bloom stage; the crocuses are largely done blooming and many daffodils are at or near their peak flowering time, also, many rose bushes are beginning to push out new leaves. I think that come mid to late April, your location will see at least some flowers and trees and shrubs start blooming....hang in there, winter can't possibly last for more than another couple of weeks-I have a suspicion that after next weekend, winter may well be all but done for the season
