Yesterday morning, the low temperature in Athens, GA was 37°F, which is probably the last time we'll have morning low temperatures in the 30s until October or November. I haven't had to use the air conditioner since Wednesday afternoon, though I'll have to turn it back on today. For the foreseeable future, we're supposed to have highs in the lower to mid-80s, and lows in the mid- to upper 50s. There's no real chance of precipitation until after Easter, but given the deluge we had last Wednesday, we can go for a week without rain and still be above normal for the month.

Nope.. Water around Chicago is mid 30s. Water around NYC is mid 40s both Long island sound and Atlantic Ocean.

4 Maps..

Data Table.

SouthEast CT colder than South central CT.
NYC mid 40s
Atlantic City upper 40s.

Normal is upper 40s so some areas are below normal.

Close up of Lake Michigan. Warmer near Grand Rapids vs Chicago

That's what it's so easy to cool the city and shoreline down 30+ degrees compared to farther out suburbs like where I live this time of the year...

Current temps

Looks like MDW never fell below 60 degrees last night
