You think Im being melodramatic? Come here then, this is mother****ing New York, your ass dont know how cold it gets here. Either move here or shut the **** up
I do intend to move north at some point, but definitely to some place with colder winters than NYC's miserable slush fest.
And after experiencing the warmest December on record, the November record high being broken TWICE TWO YEARS IN A ROW, a January that was far more above average than January 2014 was below average, two well above average springs in a row, numerous bug infestations and wasp stings, 13 consecutive months of above average weather with no end in sight, and a THREE MONTH PERIOD IN THE SUMMER WHERE NOT ONE DAY WAS BELOW AVERAGE--YES, A HUNDRED CONSECUTIVE DAYS OF ABOVE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE, SOMETHING THAT HAS LITERALLY NEVER HAPPENED IN NEW YORK CITY WITH BELOW AVERAGE WEATHER...
...I've had enough warmth and heat to last me a lifetime. I'd rather freeze to death than suffer through another nightmarish 10-month summer.
None of the below average weather you've experienced even comes close to the extremity of the above average weather I've experienced. When NYC has a 100 day period where every single day is below average, come back to me.

The above average weather down south really has been problematic. I just ignore it in the summer, because I'm used to days on end of 95 F weather, but when you start seeing monthly highs in November/December being tied or broken multiple years in a row, it does get annoying. If there's any month that needs to be below the 1980-2010 average the most, it's December. I should not have to be celebrating Christmas with a risk of seeing 80 F degree weather. It's ridiculous.
Almost everywhere north of Washington DC is freezing right now
The consistency of this is impressive. I walk outside and its like a slap in the face everyday. Feels like mid January. No breaks. Cant even have a normal max in between past 6 days. What does 40s feel like?
Mid March sun aint doing squat to melt the snow. Only on blacktops. Layer of ice preserving the 7-8" pack.
