Ahh back to York tomorrow. I've enjoyed the last day of really hot weather I'll have for a while. Nice to have all the family together too.

Another holiday in October to look forward to.

Idk, not that I noticed. Our coldest part of the day is like in the middle of the night, not in the morning unlike more southern places.

Idk, we usually get close to freezing once every or every other June, does seem very low for being July. 2015 we actually hit 2.0'C but that was the coldest July in decades. The min is usually 4-6'C. Maybe Lommaren can give better statistics :P

Day and Night temperature difference has been very much in Göle

Today in Göle, the low was 2.2*C and the high was 24.3*C.

Day and Night temperature difference has been 22.1*C in Göle today.

It seems that Göle warms up a lot in day time but temperature drops so much in night time.

However, this much day and night temperature difference looks like above average.

That's what happens at high altitude, especially in deserts. Look at Ouru and Pinnacles national park

I was thinking that 2.4C wasn't particularly cold for July, as those sort of temperatures happen here regularly. (1.6C was the coldest sea level reading just around here last January and numerous nearby places below 300 metres had temperatures below -2C)

Thinking about it though, the long daylight hours and very short nights would leave a only a short time for temperatures to drop so low, I would guess?
