Lake Erie machine in full effect.

Looks like someone will be shoveling today. Just NE of Syracuse. Cool webcams for the Tug Hill areas.

That's a cool thing about Lake Effect snows.. It can be sunny between bands or squalls.

Snow coverage increasing in New England. Better feed off Lake Ontario vs Erie but Syracuse & Albany missing out

A common thing with Lake Effect snows...

What it currently looks like under the Lake Effect Snow Band from Ontario, and outside that band there north of Syracuse.

BTW. .. Not to forget the poll , interesting split so far with only a few votes. 60% like Ocean effect most.

I'll update this thread with all the "effect" stuff happening. Hope to see more from around the world.

Even if it doesn't happen where you are, hoping those with an interest in it participate.

Looks like the Ontario Band shifted north a bit judging by the Boonville dumping, looks like Boonville now south of the heavier stuff. Constableville looks to be good spot now. Isnt that crazy!? Awesome to see the shift. So one neighborhood was like oh man, dark clouds but not that bad here... then Oh man... its now over us...dumping!

How can anyone not get excited even seeing others get snow or watching the science of it all play out!?

Old Forge is a big spot for snowmobiling!! They looks to be in a sweet spot too now.

As of 6:30pm on the 19th, I think just a little more fell but not sure if in same areas. Either way ... Areas got 1-3 feet of snow from this Lake Effect event.

Nice to see Buffalo & Pittsburgh finally get measurable snow!

Storm Chaser Video of Lake Effect Snow yesterday. Some good footage.
