oh yeah, that's definitely the case. I have already driven on snow with regular tires and that was pretty fun to say the least, I was just going home before the situation got out of hand. To be honest I am not sure how to put the chains on the wheels, but that should not be much more complicated than changing the tires I believe.

I wish you would stop posting these useless maps. How accurate have they been so far this winter? The CFS had Feb torched at the end of Jan. Yeah, that didn't work out well since currently we are looking at the same negative anomalies as last Feb.

Shades of March 2012? Okay, maybe not that far above normal, but I can dream.

I was going to say the same thing. Hell, they were predicting a torch February as late as about Jan 23-24. That sure as hell hasn't panned out. These maps seem to always want to predict warmer than normal conditions ahead of time. I bet this same map will flip in like a few days or a week.

Yes - 2015 is was almost Mediterranean as well. December got 9.82" of rain and June got only 3.60". What an odd and ****ty year 2015 was. I never would have thought halfway through the year that we would have ended up above normal precipitation for 2015.

Although 2015 was missing a component needed avoid being classified as Tropical, 2015 was lacking a month with a mean below 64.4F. That's what makes 1931 special, January had a mean of 63.9F

National Weather Service

Banner Elk, NC has a predicted high of only 11 F tomorrow and 13 F on Saturday.

And Snowshoe, WV isn't predicted to be above 20 F this whole week, with three days that have highs only in the single digits.

National Weather Service

Impressive stuff.
