Starting to get depressed with all this sun and lack of rain.
Day after day after day after day....
yeah, I'm getting nervous this is the theme for Summer. Lots of heat waves and 90s for us here if it is. including Dry and feeling over 100 too at times.
We saw how quick it can change so lets hope it does but once a pattern establishes itself it's hard to break out of it. Seems like this has been like this for 2 weeks now? Still young but another 5 days worth at least.
84F here currently. Shouldn't the dewpoint be higher than 56 with a SW wind?
I always forget to check. That's pretty high for this time of year at least for here.
Mid 50s isn't dry for May but let me check around some NWS discussions. If I find anything I'll post. They did increase this week with this SW flow we have.
I assume it's the High Pressure keeping things drier that it could of been but we will be in the 60s this weekend.

That's my concern right there. I know how these highs like to lock in and stay put.
Let's hope the Gulf can gin up some decent tropical activity for once this season. I want a slow crawler to come in around Mobile and spin itself out over north Georgia - sure would nice to get a big shot of rain in the middle of summer.
Hopefully Paris will provide a cool respite when I'm over there - I picked that week for this very reason, to catch a break from early summer heat and sun.

Smart.. But you should come back in October then if this is the pattern we're in. lol
2pm update.........Torch-o-Rama
Westfield, MA at 89°
Rochester, NY 89°
Windsor Locks, CT now at 88°
Burlington, VT 84°
Forecasts couple days ago were for 70s and we're easily hitting 80s. That's a dry ground for ya. No moisture being evaporated to cool the air a bit so it's easier to heat up.
Groton struggling past 50s. Boston 56°. Back door cold front slipping in.
Long island is because of the waters I believe.
This is the love part of being near the coast and not on the interior. 77° here which is still end of June max like
Dewpoints in the 50s so you can feel the air getting a bit more muggy now.
