Beautiful day in Chicagoland... High was 82F/28C at ORD, 84F/29C at both MDW and my suburb. Similar temps tomorrow, but more humid with a good chance of storms...
The dewpoint has plummeted today. This morning and early this afternoon it was very muggy. Now it's down to 52 F/11 C. Feels fantastic.
Cool look at when the front came through and passed! You had SW winds, then West with front overhead now NW behind the front. Also you can tell from the dewpoints dropping. Drier behind the front. Same here. Feels great but.....
Strange realization of the month....
I walked outside after the rain with the sun setting.... Just realized how tropical it looks..then it hit me... We really haven't had rain since leaves came on the trees. Wow!
Storm chances galore here the next several days. Glad to have the clouds around, sun is overly bright this time of year.
Where you live the storm chances actually mean something. Unlike here an hour to the east, it will probably amount to more than steady rain with an intracloud flash every 8 minutes.
Dew point at 59°F this evening felt dry after the steamy weather before, barely broke a sweat biking home. Down to 54°F, now back to the spring thread, air smells different.
Out east in Boston it's been a very dry May until now...
