I need to get me another rain gauge - they keep breaking in winter when they freeze...lol.
Are you back in Atlanta? How was Paris?

lol. I had that happen once, then realized we're not really supposed to keep those inexpensive ones outside when it drops below freezing. No point to anyway since its not to measure snow or ice. Few times I forgot so the water just froze in them and I left it out till the day thawed it out to bring it inside.

After each rain supposed to record the precip amount then dump it. Less chance of breaking with frozen water in there.

Yes, since late Tuesday night. It was a total blast - one of the most amazing place I've ever seen.

So odd to be surrounded by forest after being in such an urban, built-up environment...lol. I sure miss those long-range views...sigh. At least we're getting rain now, sure is a lot better than being dry like we were the first 19 days of May.

Check out the Summer Photo thread for my pics of my trip - I'm about to post up some more.

Gorgeous sunny skies... 2PM temps 80's inland, only mid 60's at the downtown lakeshore

It reached 90F for the first time this year today. I was hoping we would make it thru May without reaching 90F.

Still, it was later than normal (I would guess normally the first 90F is reached in early May.)

And Waco, Texas still hasn't reached 90F! Max so far there is 89F.

Houston also reached 90F for the first time today.
