I do know Scranton is further from the oceanic influence than either of those places, but it's still a bit strange considering its elevation and latitude.

Also, as of 3pm, it's down to 62 in Trenton NJ and still hanging on to 85 in Wilmington DE, and 90 in Washington
I'm not surprised.

Currently 85F well north of Scranton in my neck of the woods, in Canada.

Here's what the latest Euro says for Saturday morning. A bit more realistic huh. When is the GFS going to go in the trash for good? Yet we keep looking at it cause its so entertaining. LOL.

We'll see. Euro Mid-Upper 40s here. Low-Mid 40s for you. 30s across the interior

Canadian has 50s for me Saturday morning lows and 30s only in the northern tier of NY/New England

On the heat side... doesn't look too hot in the Northeast next 2 weeks but Euro is showing this for Tuesday the 26th. That's a huge area of 90s up to Baltimore... Its coming sooner than you know it. Summer is around the corner

Current alert map. For them to issue freeze warnings that means growing season started but does anyone know how far into the crop season they are in those areas? I have to assume not far but maybe strawberries/potatoes are growing??

It's amazing how the drought is being busted in Texas and surrounding areas. Much like how the 50s drought ended.

Very high rainfall amounts over the past 24 hours for parts of north & central Louisiana and neighboring parts of Mississippi and Texas. 8-12 inches of rain over some spots.

I got 3.44 inches during the day today and 0.68 inches late yesterday afternoon.

73F and humid watching the sunset. To think that Wednesday won't even reach this temperature in mid-afternoon.
