I don't think it's going to be that bad this year. 26°C for monday, 30°C for tuesday and 31°C for wednesday/thursday. An improvement from 21°C cloudy days, lol.

Last year we had 4 days of 40°C+ in a row. Tennis players were having hallucinations and fainting.

A heavy dew last night. The dewpoints yesterday weren't that high 16C(60F), and the minimum stayed quite high at 18 C(64F) with a low diurnal range of 5C, so I'm not sure why the dew was so heavy - the numbers don't seem to add up.

Same old story - dry, hot and sunny. Looking at a high of 38C tomorrow which will also be the 50th day in a row with no precipitation recorded. No rain on the forecast so should get into the top 15 by next week.

Just had a lovely swim down the river, and the seal is back. It got about 4 or 5 lovely big fat trout, in just a few minutes. Will try and get a photo tomorrow.

I was talking to a visitor from Oregon at the river. It was interesting to hear them say that the rivers don't get as warm there as they do here.

Here's a photo from yesterdays swim, up a tributary -no pesky seals there.

Today wasn't representative of that in Melbourne, although I went to the CBD today and it was nice at 20°C.

São Paulo is being slashed out by na unusual heatwave, lasting more than 20 days on a row.

Average high for January used to be around 28ºC (82F) but this year we're reaching high temps daily. Average is now of 32.7ºC (90F) that is 5ºC above normal.

Meanwhile, rain is on opposite way, almost none fell down at reservoir áreas, making this the worst drought in 80 years.
