Another day of crappy windy stratocumulus drizzle!
I panned my map and cringed at what I might see... Sure enough. 60s and 70s in Florida. Ugh. Sorry man. That should be illegal. lol 50s in Northern Florida though midday.

Oh... and once again... No warmup in sight for Northeast/New England.. We'll go past Mid February now without a thaw.
GFS hints at the beginning of a warmup after the 20th. (above freezing no 40s)

I can't complain much about temps. They're not far from average. But when it gets way warmer and more humid than it should be I get pissed.
I have a forecast high of 3°F next Friday from wunderground.com. A bit too early to be believeable, but something extreme may be coming.
Yeah man.. While the exacts are hard to believe the overall setup and scenario would be coldest of the season and maybe nearing extreme records. I'm used to seeing those types of temp extremes in January, not February. (at least in recent years).
My normal high next week is upper 30s and normal low mid 20s. So I've been used to seeing temps go into the 40s during the day in February...not stay in the teens. lol
I want to post the GFS temp map next week. Should I pull the Max or minimums?

You definitely average warmer than me, but our normal highs are in the low to mid 30s now.

I used to very cold night temperatures. I'd be more impressed with single digit maxes, so I'm more interested in a map of maxes.
Hmm. It's been decades since a stretch of temps like that over here.
Should be fun. Now entering the discussions long range. Should be fun seeing what they think.
