Best quote of the day.

"GFS and Euro are both showing "Dennis Quaid hiking up I-95 to save Jake Gyllenhaal" levels of cold around Valentine's Day. Isn't winter fun?"

Today is the 66th consecutive day it has failed to hit 70. The question now is will Sunday be the 70th consecutive day it fails to hit 70, or will there the longest stretch of below 70 temperatures this winter be below 70 days. (Current forecast high Sunday is 66).

Meanwhile, Accuweather is predicting 0.2" snow in 11 days. Will this be the biggest storm of the winter or the biggest failure of the winter? Stay tuned...

1. No snow. Rain Monday evening.

2. 850mb temps sub zero F next Friday? Wow!

3. Dewpoints below 0F
It definitely looks like a below average week, but nothing that hasn't been seen 3 or 4 times the past few winters. If only some precipitation could show up during the below freezing time about 100 miles to the southwest.

My rain gauge had 1.08 inches this morning. On and off light rain today. Miserable weather.

I wonder if this is a precursor to Spring Tornado outbreaks with the strong Arctic air still looking healthy and the warmth/humidity trying to push north.

I'm surprised no one said anything about that being too warm to be in Alabama. I've actually been in Mexico since Sunday, and I'll be home tomorrow night. Not looking forward to being cold again!

The Corners of the Lower 48:

Currently feels like -20°F in Caribou. 68° in Miami. 80° in Yuma. 55° in Seattle

Not to ignore it feels like 3F here right now. Wow
