Around -15°C over Turku. You hosted the pic, so it can't be a new model run. I imagine -20°C at 850 hPa over the Finnish-Russian border is rather common?

There is No way south jersey shore is seeing subzero.

There was legitimate claims that the Arctic air would hit us. Now the new model has destroyed that.

When Helsinki hit -30C the last time in 2003, the lower atmosphere temps were at -18C:

Usually the temps are like -8 or -10.
