We're having a month-long heatwave, remember? Lowest i spotted on Ogimet was 5.6C for Sweden and 8.8C in Finland.

Even Saana fell at 3000ft recorded a 13C low!

Continental climates are more likely to get lower minimums than oceanic places..
0.9C for August in spectacular, it is very noteworthy

I didn't say that Berlin's mins were as low as Scotland's. Continental climates, except for some very cold high latitude ones have trouble reaching summer mins that low as the average low is so high. Variabilty is high, but summer variablity is usually less than the rest of the year.

In more southern places yes.. at our latitude not so much.

Warsaw averages 14.8C in July which is about 1C warmer than London's minimum average for July, but they see lows of around 6-7C in July whereas we never go below 9C in July

We average 1-2 days below 9°C in July. A London may not be the best example as it has a heat island.

This Alaskan location has recorded 3 days below 37°F since 1980 in July:

NORTHWAY FAA AIRPORT, ALASKA - Climate Summary

Skagway, on the coast but with more continental influence has not recorded any.

SKAGWAY 1 NW, ALASKA - Climate Summary

Long days at high latitude may be an issue. Frost hollow at an inland west of the continent location at 50-55° might be the best bet.

Average and standard deviation are very different, you'll learn that in high school

Nice has a higher average high in summer than Melbourne, yet struggles to go over 30°C whereas Melbourne routinely goes above 35/40°C. Same goes for lows. I'd expect a continental place with a 13°C average low in August to get colder lows than an oceanic place which averages 10°C.
