Any central Ky storms this evening or do you think it's over?
I still think you have the threats until tonight. Once the drier/cooler air works in its all over. So you still have few hours of sunlight and then some for storms.
But I wonder if those storms down there are creating sinking air over you which would limit storms there. (has to be a balance)
Ok, Check out the Water Vapor Map. Clearly see Northern Kentucky in the dry layer while southern KY has moisture in the atmosphere. There's lifting going on down there (hence the storms and tornadoes) but in northern Kentucky the air is drier so air is sinking.
If you have rapidly rising air in one location, you MUST have rapidly sinking air in another. Science.
Notice Albany, NY.. A dry cap was broken and BOOM... Large Storm.
So "maybe" once those storms move out of Southern KY, Central and Northern KY can get something going. Doesn't look promising though
