would prefer a Mediterrean climate with dry and warm summers (highs in the low 80s), and mild winters. But a dry heat (highs in the mid-90s) also sounds good to me. To put in United States terms, the Mediterrean climate with warm summers is found in Southern California a few miles inland (according to the climate averages).

Not melbourne, too much depressing gloom for 6 months fo the year

Best climate would be Kuwait summers with Perth Winters

i'd say the smallest range of temperatures is optimal for humans as drastic differences are unhealthy and cold is very unhealthy

^^ I agree. Some inland places here in Vic and alot of the souther deserts such as the Nullarbour plain can have a 30C difference between day and night temps in summer.
