High yesterday was 116 with a low of 91. Second highest temp of the summer. Supposed to be 111 today then moderating back to normal levels of 105 to 107 the next few days. Hopefully we will get some more storms this next week.
Wow, this is weird!!! I'm watching TWC and seeing all the tremendous heat just south of me and it's comfy up here. We were supposed to be at 94 degrees today and yet it is 83 with a heat index of 86. I'm not complaining~those are nice temps. They also lowered our forecast of 97 for Sunday~down to about 90 now.

It looks REALLY warm from KC on south.
It's not warm; it's dangerously HOT. It's actually getting quite monotonous because I can't do anything outside without the chance of getting heat stroke. Grrrr!!

The heat is very dangerous. I checked the obs and Lawrence, KS had a heat index reading of 112F last hour. This was about 14F warmer than the actual air temperature due to the humidity
