77 and RAIN?!? outside my window in the phx area right now.

Now through 04:00 PM MST May 13, 2008 Isolated showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop in south- central Arizona including Maricopa County...northwest and north- central Pinal County...southern Gila County...and the greater Phoenix area this afternoon. The strongest storms will be capable of producing gusty winds to 50 mph...blowing dust that could reduce visibilities less than 1 mile...brief heavy rain...and small hail.

Today Partly sunny. Windy. Much cooler. Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning...then chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs 79 to 84. West wind 15 to 25 mph. Gusts to 35 mph. Chance of precipitation 30 percent.

Garson, I got a chuckle out of your comment about a "cool 68". Unfortunately, it stayed cool here all day and I doubt that we even came close to 60 for a high.

68's cool to me too.

Though some people here describe warm as just an abense of cold, or barely warm enough they can tolerate short sleeves.
Say 60 F for most is the bottom end of "warm."

Warm to me has always meant short sleeves feel better than long sleeves.
Even as a little boy, it never really felt warm until it at least hit 70 F plus some sunshine.

It's much better than what I dealt with this weekend in Laredo. 105 Friday, 107 Saturday with higher dewpoints (78)!
