Temperature dropped further to 25 F and its still blowing wet snow being dumped on us. Accumulations are approaching 9" now. I have a strong feeling that this will be an ALL SNOW event for Central and Northern New Jersey. It seems almost impossible for temperatures to climb up to 32 F in the next couple hours and judging by the storm track, all the rain will just slide off to sea and not impact central and Northern NJ. 24 F. Snow starting to finally wind down a bit. Accumulations today around 8" (total snow pack around 10"). By the time everything stops, we may reach 1' of total snow pack and 10" of accumulations. Amazing storm indeed. Tomorrow morning, sharpen you shovels and DIG !!!!!!.

That's crazy! Feels like 3.6°F and snowing in Bridgeport, CT and Raining with temps at 35°F at West Hampton Beach, NY

Gotta love Connecticut. Almost 4 inches now coming down hard

What a temperature gradient within 20 miles in central NJ.

Turning into heavy sleet now , and temps are warming up. 25 F now. Doubt it will reach above freezing tonight though.

Southern Great Lakes: Way below normal temps and frequent snow til end of January or early February. Then dry and slightly below normal temps til end of [a cool rainy] April. A lot like 1969-70, but all in all, a week or so later this time.
Snow laying on the ground today will still be there a month from now - with a lot more on top of it.
