We want it to be winter now ; something like it's been in the Black Hills this month, minus the melting.

some snowfall forecasted for kiruna tonight. since the coming 10 day period looks relatively cold, there's a possibility it will last for a while - perhaps for the rest of the winter.

Langtidsvarsel for Kiruna, Norrbotten (Sverige)

Here it is... Accuweather's Winter outlook.

US Winter Forecast: Snow to Bury Rockies; Slow Onset in East

Let me guess... someone is going to get fired because they aren't hyping cold and snow for the big cities.

Cambium I'm hoping your maps from Accu hold true for this winter. With a set up like that you can pretty much bet for above snow falls in those areas, especially where I am. You get that southern flow with clippers coming across Lake MI and the snow machine lets loose. The most we ever received for one winter was 20 ft. That's how real winters are suppose to be.

Yeah, your in a prime spot with that setup with the storm track they are projecting.. In fact if you run the loop of the GFS you can see it starting to set up. I think you're in for the first half of winter then it shifts east.
