June 23rd has been a muggy bowl of soup for you the last couple of years. DPs of 76 F and 75 F on that date respectively. Perhaps the trend continues this year?
I'm really surprised that you've only had three instances of 75+ DPs in the past 11 years in June though I suppose high dew points like that would be more common in July. And I imagine southwest KY gets higher DPs than Lexington.
Yeah, what's up with that date?
Much more common in July...
July 2016 - 3
July 2015 - 8
July 2014 - 2
July 2013 - 3
July 2012 - 3
July 2011 - 11
July 2010 - 3
And you're right about southwest KY. Their summers are like Nashville rather than Lexington.
Yeah, April here has the same mean temp as your July.
It seems my seasons here are one step ahead of yours. Your springs are our winters and your summers are our spring.
Even though your April is much cooler than my January. Ah, this climate is pathetic honestly.
well, your January looks like our May, while your April is our June and your May is our July. When it comes to high you don't get much higher than us in the warm half of the year (we've had our share of 33c average high in summer months) but the lows you have are not low at all. And you've got more than twice our rainfall amount.
I hope you don't get offended if I say I prefer living here

Yeah, wow, look at all the 70s you get in June vs me. Definitely a Gulf influence vs Atlantic up here. I wonder how other coastal areas look south of me though. Does Atlantic City or Norfolk get many 70s in June?
Also interesting you had 7 days out of 11 with the max staying in the 50s. Goes to show the type of pattern we were in this year so far. Like you said same as 2012 then back to 2006 so doesn't happen many times.

Norfolk has already hit 70 three times this month.

Wow, July blows June out of the water. Especially July 2011! Looks more like the Deep South rather than Lexington. Hopefully you get a repeat of July 2011.
As oppressive as they are, I want to see us reach an 80+ dew point this year at least once. If it's gonna be hot and muggy, might as well be interesting. We usually get to 78/79 several times of year but reaching that 80 F threshold seem to be a bit of a barrier for some reason.

Interestingly, 2011 had the wettest April on record, while 2015 was the second April wettest on record.
This April had 1.84" (normal 3.60"), so if there really is any correlation that doesn't bode well! But you never know.

Always funny to see random places in the likes of Wisconsin (not even talking about Kentucky) reaching much higher peak DPs than South Florida. You get much longer and infinitely more uncomfortable summers but not much to show off.

Huh, you're supposed to act all offended when someone criticizes your climate.
Here's the number of days with 70°F+ dew points last summer in Nice:
June: 3
July: 23
August: 21
September: 11

That reminds me.. as wet a Spring we had here, dews can't seem to go above 65. Our ground was so saturated end of May. I know we haven't had the right setup till now but still.. even today.. Bermuda Highs usually does it and its not. Low 60s today. Meanwhile Wisconsin in the 70s. lol
At the surface... Good old Bermuda High but apparently the Gulf is providing higher dews
Today' dews. Capo Mele on the Italian Riviera reached 77°F.
