oh, yeah, better a short downpour than half a day worth of light-rain.

First time I've heard you ask for the south to share its weather with us.

Are you getting another front? It cleared up yesterday after the rains (we got about 1.5") and somewhat dehumidified and now it clouded over and more rain is coming. Here's the discussion from NWS Boston:

.SHORT TERM /6 PM THIS EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT/...
TONIGHT...LOW LEVEL SOUTHEAST WINDS DEVELOP AND STRENGTHEN THROUGH
THE NIGHT AS A LOW APPROACHES. RATHER GOOD AGREEMENT IN THE 12/00Z
GUIDANCE THAT A WARM FRONT WILL REACH THE SOUTH COAST OF NEW
ENGLAND AROUND MIDNIGHT SUNDAY. THIS FRONT SLOWLY MOVES NORTH INTO
OUR REGION LATE. THIS FRONT WILL BE THE FOCUS FOR SHOWERS.
GREATEST CHANCE FOR SHOWERS WOULD BE NEAREST THE FRONT ACROSS
AREAS SOUTH OF THE MASS PIKE...WITH VALUES DIMINISHING TOWARD THE
MERRIMACK VALLEY.

INSTABILITY IS MARGINAL...BUT ENOUGH WHERE CANNOT COMPLETELY RULE
OUT THE POSSIBILITY FOR ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. AREAS TOWARD THE
SOUTH COAST AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS WOULD BE MOST LIKELY
TO GET THESE THUNDERSTORMS...SHOULD THEY DEVELOP AT ALL.
PRECIPITABLE WATER VALUES REMAIN HIGH...SO LOCALLY HEAVY DOWNPOURS
REMAIN POSSIBLE AS WELL.

Haha. Yeah, I find that happens once in a blue moon and mostly in the Fall when the coastal waters are still torching hot. lol So much easier for the south to get what I want in early Fall. I doubt I will see 40s DPs or 40s for lows. I'll take low 70s for a High at this point. I feel like I'm in a coffin and waiting to be rescued. No air! Dewpoints still mid 60s. Muggy out!

Yes, front and Low Pressure along it.. Rain is coming. Winds too.

Get this.. The front doesn't have a lot of moisture with it but because the trough is digging, it will make the rain so to speak because there will be lift on the right side of the trough where we are.

From NYC

LOW PRESSURE APPROACHES FROM THE SOUTHWEST THIS EVENING AND THEN
LIFTS NORTHEAST ALONG A FRONTAL BOUNDARY. A SECONDARY FRONTAL WAVE
WILL THEN SLOWLY MOVE ACROSS THE AREA ON SUNDAY. HIGH PRESSURE
BUILDS EAST FOR THE UPCOMING WEEK.

ANOTHER WEAK FRONTAL WAVE REMAINS ACROSS THE AREA ON SUN IN
RESPONSE TO A DIGGING UPPER TROF APPROACHING FROM THE OH AND TN
VALLEYS. WHILE MOISTURE IS LIMITED FOLLOWING THE FIRST FRONTAL
WAVE...LIFT ASSOCIATED WITH THE INCOMING UPPER TROF SHOULD BE
SUFFICIENT FOR WIDESPREAD SHOWERS
...ESPECIALLY EAST OF THE HUDSON
RIVER SUN AFT. THERE COULD BE SOME SUN IN THE MORNING. THE LOW
LIFTS NE SUN NIGHT IN TANDEM WITH THE UPPER TROF WITH DRIER...
COOLER CONDITIONS WORKING INTO THE AREA. THERE MAY BE A FEW GUSTS
UP TO 20 MPH SUN NIGHT WITH STRONG COLD ADVECTION.

HIGHS ON SUN WILL TOP OUT NEAR SEASONABLE LEVELS IN THE MID TO
UPPER 70S...BUT LOWS WILL DROP INTO THE 50S AND POSSIBLY AS LOW
AS THE UPPER 40S WELL NW OF THE NYC METRO.

I got a bit irritated at the humidity, too. Wasn't that bad to me, but enough already? Bedroom temperature is cool enough for me (72°F) but with the humidity I have a fan blowing on me so it doesn't feel stuffy. I'm forecast to see DPs in the 40s for part of Monday. Rest of the week, below 60°F.
