...mhh, well, that's too bad, cause i think it would be cool to collect all the data in the first post so that everyone gets a better overview... Every other forum I've been to offered the possiblity to edit your posts at any time you want them to edit... Don't understand the rule..

For France, 1981-2010 period:

Warmest annual mean temperature: Cap Corse (17.1°C)

Coldest annual mean temperature: Mont Aigoual (5.4°C)

Warmest average temperature in the warmest month: Cap Corse (25.3°C)

Warmest average max temperature in the warmest month: Carpentras (32.1°C)

Coldest average temperature in the coldest month: Mouthe (-2°C)

Coldest average high temperature in the coldest month: Mont Aigoual (0.8°C)

Unfortunately, the source is the amateur website Meteostats, as many METARs/SYNOPs are missing on the Meteo France one. I've checked a lot of cities and the data provided matches Meteo France's so I think it's a pretty reliable source. My main concern would be about the accuracy of Carpentras weather station. Le Luc is deemed more reliable and averages a slightly cooler 31.8°C as a high in July and August.

I was reading Dalwhinnie had average high of 2.7c and then jumped to 4c. Surely it wouldn't jump that much especially considering our decembers have gotten colder.

That was only for the period between 1951-1980. Yes, it's a shocking rise, and very disappointing.

Some recent winters have been cold, but the bulk of winters between 1980 and 2010 were pretty mild or exceptionally mild, especially between 1989 and 2008.
