I choose Oslo for the more comfortable summers, those summers in Sapporo look quite muggy to me- and this with more clouds then sunshine, so no thanks.

I thought about picking Oslo for the cooler and seemingly far more pleasant summers, but there's not a huge different, I guess, in summer temperatures, although I'm sure Sapporo is far more humid. Still, Sapporo is not that sunny, so it shouldn't be too oppressive. With AC, especially for sleeping, I'd be fine with Sapporo's summers. And of course, Sapporo is much better for snowfall. Oslo only gets 30 inches of snow on average per year? We've already received more than 30 inches this winter and, let me tell you, it's not enough for me. Sapporo, not Oslo, can more fully satiate my appetite for snow.

Sapporo. Winters seem to be great! Summers are warmer. I like precipitation there. And it is sunnier.

Sapporo is better in the summer but Oslo better in the winter due to so much snow in Sapporo that you would have to shovel, get off your windshield, drive in, etc. I call this one too close to call.

Oslo, it's winters are far more sensible, although both are fairly good.
