At first you may think its an obvious choice but they have very similar temperatures

Ifrane is much better. Considerably sunnier and also drier with a good dry season in summer whereas every month has over 100mm in Sochi.

Also more chance of frost and snow in winter in Ifrane. The mild, wet and cloudy winters in Sochi are just dreadful.

I chose Sochi, as Ifrane has slightly colder winters. But neither climate is ideal for me.
