All of the sources are BOM so the data on the wiki pages are accurate, unless BOM made any updates. Mackay's data is slightly off but not enough to make a difference.
Out of the options presented.. I choose Darwin. The wet season is not too hot compared to Wyndham and Karratha... Innisfail is not bad but too wet overall. The rest are too cool in winter for my preferences.
I find most of the climates of WA interesting due to the consistently low record lows...very weird feature. As for my choice, I'd pick Mackay as it has a good mix of warm and wet and dry and warm. Coffs Harbour is also up there.

Toss up between Dorrigo and Mallacoota (Mallacooties). There are no genuine cool climates (well, by Aussie standards) on this list such as Orange or Oberon.
Dorrigo is the wettest town in NSW being elevated and on the north coast. I think it's the only one of these towns that has recorded snow, but it's a pretty rare event. Nearby areas such as Ebor receive a bit more.
Mallacooties on the other hand is a very mild coastal climate close to Cape Howe, the south-easternmost point of the Australian mainland. As a result it gets seabreezes from both the Southern Ocean and the Tasman Sea and very few hot days. Snow has never been recorded.
Annual temps are very similar, but in Australia I prefer a cloudy wet summer to block the harsh sunshine, so Dorrigo just gets the nod, along with the remote chance of snow.
Dorrigo is too wet.
I'll go for Coff's Harbor. It's also too wet but more manageable.
