Today was a mixture of sun and clouds in Vancouver WA in the 70s. The skies were clear with good quality air. Although there is a small fire to the east. Here's a few pics from an afternoon paddle on the Columbia.

Today we enjoyed mild temps in the 70s starting with early morning clouds and light rain clearing by the afternoon. I loved seeing wet ground in the morning. Hopefully we'll get more soon. There's also hints of fall colors starting in the trees. It's a nice close of summer with heatwaves gone along with summer crowds.

I love the 70s but we are in the 60s. A nice 70 degree heat wave is as close to perfect as it gets. We had some days like that and they were heavenly. We might get a few those yet before winter but daytime in the 60s, nights in the 40s/50s is more status quo.

Still 70s in Vancouver which is predicted through the end of the week. Then we begin on fall cool down right with rain finally. That should really help our fire season which is great timing.

Sunrise to sunset pics on this late summer's day. It's finally cooling down a bit with more wind. Still beautiful out and mild temps.

I spent the last day of summer at one of my favorite local places... in the water, of course. It was a beautiful day! When summer meets fall. And so it begins.

We did some prepping for the rain ahead of time this time! Hubby checked all the gutters and we put the downspout extenders back on for winter... We're very ready for some good rain, tired of the dry and dust!

We're fortunate that we didn't get hot, dry or dusty this summer (North Sound). Everything is green and the weather has been warm with some 70s, and rain doused it a few times. We had one sweltering day of 89 this summer.
