PUD still has 84,000 people out of power. It's quite the mess with all the downed trees and branches (and wires). We had gray and winds (not strong just brisk) blowing all day and didn't really get a get a sun break but it was dry.

I have always found it odd that the snow increases as you leave Jamestown headed north to Sequim and then west to PA.
It is very noticeable with the increase of roadside build up every couple of miles.
What I find odd is that there is less wind in Jamestown so you’d think it’s colder.
The elevation on 101 stays pretty much constant so it’s not an elevation thing.
I think it rains less in Jamestown so that might be it.
What ever it is it is very noticeable to where I don’t even want to drive past that big “S” curve going into PA.

Looks like Bham could get snow with temps dropping into the 20s!

Next week clears at least for a while, but temps seem to drop even more. So, any precipitation can easily lead to any early snow at lower elevations. If you get some, post the first snow pics of the season! I have a friend in BHAM and I'll sure he'll post some pics on FB.

Well, I arrived at Sea-Tac yesterday afternoon to blazing sunshine! This, after I'd been sent dire warnings from the weather service by friends, that predicted power outages and flooding all over Whatcom County and elsewhere. Rain was predicted today for Lynnwood, but there's been no rain in sight all day. Maybe tomorrow?

^^Really? That sure wasn't the way it was up here! Read the Peninsula Daily News for storm info on Jefferson & Clallam. The winds were wild!

We're entering a dry, colder period this week after some stormy weather that you just missed. Have a good trip. You just missed the rain, wind, power outages and minor river flooding (rivers have crested).

We got a dusting of snow in some places this morning, most of it not sticking. Yesterday we were supposed to get a bunch of rain but instead had some nice sunshine. The NE winds are forecast up to 50mph and wind chill down to around 20*F. It tends to clear up when the winds switch to the NE but it gets cold! Some reports of black ice and power outages/lines on ground still happening so use caution driving.

Cold and November-like here....

Putting the animals in early has become our normal... Cats are in already, horses and goats yell whenever we walk outside... It's not even four-thirty and they're out there wanting to come in now.
