Can anyone tell me what their most recent electric bill was? I got mine today and it was $178.00.....is that about right? I am new to the area. My husband and I own a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath house and we keep the air conditioning around 74 degrees. Also, does anyone take part in the same monthly payment plan SMECO has? Thanks.

Sounds about right to me for a summertime bill. It wasn't much different when I lived in Fairfax County.

Yeah. But it hasn't even been above 80 yet. If the bill is $178 now, it may be much higher when we hit our hot stretch from June to September.

I live just northeast of ya'll in Fort Washington and we (2 adults and 1 toddler) haven't even turned on our air conditioner as of yet in our new construction SFH. Even so, our electric bill is about constant at around $120-$130. When it was colder just a month or two ago, that was compounded with a $200+ gas bill for heating. I know your feeling of shock at the general ripoff of this region of the country in everything, to include utilities, but I think you are fairing pretty well.

Google maps usually finds the best way. Assuming you meant the Civista Medical Center in LaPlata, at 5 Garratt Avenue. It is part of the U of Maryland Health System.

Get to Route 175 from wherever you are, and take it east to Rte 3, the Crain Highway. Follow it for 43.4 miles, and turn left on Charles, and right on Garrett.
