Hi, FastFerrari

Just wondering what you might know about the Wii ?

I got my boys the Xbox360 for Christmas. It did not take long to realize we needed to go buy the cooling system. (sold separate) It kept over heating.
The Xbox itself scratched two games and ruined them. If you just barely move the unit while a game is spinning inside it will (eat the game). Have you heard of this happening to anyone Else? My son's friend had the same problem and had to take his back.

We are thinking about returning the Xbox360 for a Wii.
My children are 15, 11, 6, 4.

My 15 is not happy he loves the X-Box . So we are still negotiating.
He said the Wii controllers are hard to use, games are not as good, it gets old after awhile using the controllers, people are throwing the controller into there TV. ( I know about the strap ). This might just be a 15 year old who wants to keep his X-Box 360!

Any info on the Wii would be greatly appreciated.

Hey DBNN,

Its hard tryin to satisfy kids cause heck i was one of 4....all BOYS. Ne way juss a lil info on the Wii is what u need i can shed some light. I see that ur 15yr old loves it and i can agree. It has all the Shot em up, punch em out, BIG TITLE games he may be used to. The Wii is targeted to ur young three who have energy to spare ne way. Did ur 15yr old eva play or own a Super Nintendo. IF so they have that same style conntroller for the Wii. The Wii will allow him to download games that the Xbox360 dosent have. Let him know that all those games on 360 had to start somewhere. And the Wii will show him. I mean if u need to turn in ur 360 a good compromise would be a Wii....and a lil sumthan for him a PSP. Hell get alot of titles, movies, music, and its portable. So when spring break comes surpise!!! Allowing some of ur youngins to swing, kick , run and jump on the Wii.

Prices:
Best Buy Wii $249.00
PSP $199.00
--------------
total $458.00

Xbox360 Best Buy $399.00

Im not gonna lie to you he ll screem bloody murder if u take the 360 away. So my only advice is to make him a compromise he can refuse. Its a give and take world of electronics jus make sure everyone can get a piece of the pic... and cake...and eat it too.

My husband is an addicted (like as in "I need rehab") PS2, Socom: Navy Seals player. Me, if I never saw a video game again, it would be too soon (I was an Atari girl.....sheesh LOL).

THE SIMS 2! I love virtually re-creating myself, marrying random people, and then killing them off after they move in and their household net worth is added to my household's! (Sadistic? I think so!)

I'm not a huge gamer, but I play my fair share of Madden and Tiger Woods (I have a PS2). I also got to play Guitar Hero II for the first time last weekend and I LOVED it. I'm dying to buy it...too bad it's 70 bucks with the controller.

If a 360 is to much then check out tha PsP....your already in the family with a Ps2....If you do drop the money on a 360 eventually you might ask yourself if the wait was worth the money....My friend thought the same thing...eventually got one and has fallin in love with it...by the way a Ps3 is even more than 360....Me i see myself buying both ASAP...finacial that is...

I must have the new Grand Turismo.........Good Hunting.
