Because it was a custom job by the bike maker.

Believe it or not, this was a top of the line bike back in 92 and actually cost over $2000 (actual price - not counting inflation). The guy who bought it requested a rasta paint scheme. Since it was top of the line they'd paint the bike any color.

I bought it from him for $200 a few years ago.

that is great - what are the components on the Kona?
i have an old Yeti from Durango, CO in yellow and black. No suspension here either.

I try to ride to the top of the ski mountains 1x a week, great fun.

Dunno if this one will work from my cell phone at Lincoln Peak

Tonight's sunset was a pretty good one. I have no idea why one pic has little color and the other has more than enough. The one with all the color was taken a about ten minutes before the other.

Took this one as I was exiting Price Chopper in Derby. A pretty lady was passing by and commented that it really was a nice sunset this evening. She doesn't know it, but she made me feel about twenty years younger.

Newport waterfront. The Gateway Center is out of the frame and just to the left. I got there just in time to hear the band introduce themselves and break into The Spencer Davis Group's Gimme Some Lovin. They did it justice.

Some random wildlife pics from this summer paddling. The Green Heron is from Whiskey Creek, the loons were on Woodrow Resevoir, the close-up Heron is on Otter Creek and the young Heron peeking at us was on Dead Creek. The Canada Geese were also on Dead Creek.

My wife and I were visiting Vermont last weekend (my sister and brother-in-law live in Guildhall, and we went up for the 250th anniversary of the founding of Guildhall), and we had a chance to go kayaking on Christine Lake, a bit north of Guildhall. Here are some pictures I took (Aug. 6, 2011).
