I asume you mean Vermont not Maine?

As this low leaves today a stronger low moves in from Great Lakes and so Friday will be even more tricky. Everything should clear out Saturday.

But my main concern Friday is flash freezes. Temps should drop hard within a couple hours so anything wet will start freezing pretty quick. Precip type still in question, could be a rain to snow thing or worse, rain to ice. I'm thinking be all snow after lunch time as temps drop during the day.

So use caution or postpone if you can.

The radar, just updated a few minutes ago is showing a mix to freezing rain all along the western third of the state. A quick lull in the southern section of the state and then the remainder of the storm comes through. On the radar everything to the south of the lull is rain. We will have to see what happens. It's supposed to get over 40 around Bennington today. Tomorrow another system comes through with much of the same crappy weather.
Around Burlington it's doing nothing. No rain or snow. Temps are now above freezing here now, so I suspect rain or a mix when it starts. Looks like NH and Maine get most of the snow from this one.

What a weird weather day. When I pulled out of my garage around 6 this a.m. there was a light breeze out of the east and it was sprinkling. The rain picked up a notch for a while and a few hours later the sun came out for a few minutes. It was still raining so we got a pretty neat rainbow out of the deal.

This evening the showers gave way to a steady snow and the wind picked up substantially out of the west. It was probably snowing when I was driving home tonight, but it was so gusty that the snow could have just been blowing around. Yesterday's snow total here at the Canadian border was about 2" and this evening we have an additional 3" thus far. It's supposed to keep up overnight with maybe another 3-5 on the ground in the morning.

Tonight's temps are supposed to be near zero. Tomorrow night will be colder. (-15) I've been keeping an eye on the battery in my wife's car. It's only 2 years old, but if it doesn't do the trick on Sunday, I'll be replacing it for sure.
