you Vermonters would get a kick out of this - here in the DC area schools were closed last Tuesday because the windchills were too cold for our special snowflake children! Temps around 5 with wind chills -20. Not exactly comfortable but not life threatening by any means

Agan the pussification of America.....there is no bad weather, just bad clothing.....
DC, nothing surprises me about DC, but the pathetic thing is they have the best public transportation (wit heat) of any city in the US and yet school was canceled.
If MN or even VT used that rule they would drop another 10 days per school year.
Now back to the matter at hand.......WTF is the SNOW !!!!!!

Same here. Most of our property is snow free except for the areas that stay shaded most of the time.

From my recent travel in the state it looks like Chittenden County has more snow than most places, but it just looks like snow. It's all ice. I was pulling up the last of the ice from my driveway this weekend and decided to see what was under the ice in the yard. It looked like snow, it was white
, but it was about 3-4 inches of ice. Now we have patchy ice covering everything.

Pattern changing for the better if you like cold and snow. We'll see how it plays out but there's a parade of clippers. That's for sure. Where the snow falls and how cold it gets is still up in air.
