It was rain here since about 5pm, just started to change over to wet snow. Nearly slipped twice getting to the car after dinner...really messy out there.

There are reports of some of the biggest flakes they ever seen in Maine and Vermont.

Here's some:

"Just drove through thunder snow in Rockingham VT"
https://twitter.com/NWSBurlington/status/417482129946075136

"in South Royalton - snowflakes the size of quarters"
https://twitter.com/NWSBurlington/status/417480966995582977

"4 inches in East Thetford, still 32.4 degrees."
https://twitter.com/NWSBurlington/status/417477366248513536

And the craziest... NWS Burlington ? That's pretty much 2.5" an hour average.

Royalton, VT

"For any non believers. 3.5 hours!! "

Total non-snow event up here...whatever wet snow started last night apparently turned back to rain, and it's all starting to freeze over now. Hope everyone is doing well down there! intense pics!

Seeing a note for 'potential significant snow accumulation' on Friday...any word on that? Or am I just getting my hopes up lol?

Yup, I think the most accumulation will be south of Vermont since there is a coastal involved but as always track needs to be watched. Cold enough for snow even to NYC so there's no precip type challenges for us with this one.

Thursday-Friday seems like the travel problem day. Might be over 24hrs worth of snow for someone.
