Edit: I just realized that Texas isn't adjacent to MO or KS so Abilene can't be correct. I thought Vasiliy got it, but OK State is Division 1. **shrug**

It's neither Stillwater nor Lubbock (in my wife's opinion Lubbock is the better of the two, you can practically smell the oil, wind power and Texas Tech money there).

A famous songwriter and singer is from the city in question. Also, the university has a football stadium but no football team.

From what you've said earlier, I'm assuming it is in Oklahoma because you said it bordered on Kansas and Missouri.

Right state, but not Claremore (highest building in Claremore is maybe two stories, sister-in-law lived there for a while).
