In general I dont think more open but definitely more friendly. Standing at a bus stop by yourself in scotland would involve someone striking up a converstion. Hasn't happened to me in England but I do live in the South.

Kidding, though I do think Scottish people are the most kindest people you could ever meet and will say hi in the street. Glasgow is the place to find that.

Hows things in NC? Miss it there!
I resemble that remark

I have my father visiting from Inverness at the moment, so drinking more than I normally do

Not just Glasgow just about anywhere in Scotland and I would say the north of England people are friendly, for some reason there seems to be a dourness about the south.

Doing good in NC, going to Virgina next week to take father through Shendonah national park and the blue ridge parkway.

It depends I guess but i've had more better experiences with Americans and Scots than I have with English folk. I mean no disrespect but I get the feeling that alot of English people look down upon us Scots and I don't know why.

But the Scots are well known for their outgoing nature, kind heartedness and for having a good time.

Don't you hate it when Americans refer to everything as British? They don't know that there is Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales..

Thats all I see on the UK forum, I dont think they know there is different countries within the UK

I'm going back to Mississippi in October for 3 weeks, mostly for bowhunting

So you will be down in Mississippi and up to no good

I love it when I get asked what part of England are you from, I quite nicely reply I am not, and then look at the confused expression on their face, while saying nothing else.
