I'm trying to help my friend understand what benefits he may have left on his Tier 3 claim. My friend lives in CA and has a parent claim date of 07/29/12. His claim filing dates are as follows
07/29/12-02/02/13 27 weeks( 26 weeks + 1 week waiting period) regular UI
02/03/13-05/11/13 14 weeks tier 1
05/12/13-08/10/13 13 weeks tier 2
08/11/13-08/17/13 1 week tier 2 augmentation
08/18/13-xx/xx/xx tier 3 filed at 9 weeks.
With this being said the filing dates of each EXTENSION coincide with the available benefits available on that tier at that exact date. Is this how EUC weeks available are determined? When all is said and done my friend would have collected 63 weeks of benefits. I think that is fair. However I thought total weeks available were just based on your original parent claim filing date? Isn't that why charts say 79 weeks, 73 weeks, 63 weeks, etc....or are all extensions and weeks per extension determined by the filing date of the extension and what's available at that time.
Thanks
You can see on this chart a filing date of 07/29/12 would be eligible for up to 79 weeks. And I understand the "up to" part.
